The New Meadowlands Stadium is ready for its first live football action on Monday night, the first preseason game for each of its tenants – the Giants and Jets. Fans all around the tri-state area are buzzing about the preseason opener, which has drawn some trash talk from both New York teams this past week. Several players will sit this one out for Big Blue, including Steve Smith, Chris Snee, Kenny Phillips, Michael Johnson, and new addition Keith Bullock. Like every preseason opener however, this game will be more about the rookies and young players fighting to make the roster.
