Preseason action continued tonight as the Jets lost to the Ravens. The main highlights you need to know are as follows:
- Mark Sanchez had a disastrous start, throwing a pick-six and then almost throwing another pick on his next attempt, as the Ravens went into a 14-0 lead, although he did redeem himself on his fourth and final drive with a 19yd TD pass to Leon Washington who was the Jets lone bright spot offensively in the first half.
- Kellen Clemens entered the game and proceeded to go three and out and then threw another pick-six to leave the Jets 21-7 down at the half.
- Defensively, the first half performance was solid, as they held the Ravens to less than 50% completions and only 2.8 yards per carry. 43 of the 160 yards came on one play where Drew Coleman was beaten.
- In the second half, Kellen Clemens hit David Clowney (who didn’t play in the first half) for a 28 yard TD and impressive play from DL Ropati Pitoitua helped get the Jets back into the game.
