This Given Sunday:
The Dolphins have been a punchline in the NFL since Dan Marino retired. Jeff Ireland has done little to help the team in recent years, and this year isn't much better.
It seems people in high places are taking notice; more specifically, the president of the United States is taking notice.
President Obama was on 106.7 in Miami with DJ Laz, and it didn't take long for President Obama to make a joke at the Dolphins' expense.
Obama: DJ Laz.
Obama: "What's going on, man?"
Laz: "How are you, sir?"
Obama: "Less than highly favored."
Laz: It is an honor and pleasure to have the president of the United States. I'm humbled
Obama: "I'm the one who should be humbled. You're big time. You've got Pitbull and Flo Rida and all these guys just beating a path to your door. And so I'm hoping I can get a little of that magic from you in this interview."
Laz: I'm wearing a Miami Dolphins jersey

The Houston Texans opened up their regular season yesterday against the Miami Dolphins at Reliant Stadium. The Dolphins, with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, came into this game hoping to do to the Texans what Mark Sanchez did to them his rookie season and win his first career football game. It’s obvious that the Texans remembered that game and were not about to allow it to...
One went to Wisconsin and another went to Texas A&M. One has the keys to the franchise as the "People's Choice" and the other just plays hard nosed defense for a Super Bowl contender.Ryan Tannehill's debut Ends on a sour note with 3 interceptions and zero touchdowns. Tannehill although kept is uniform slightly clean, did not improve on some of the key adjustments...
Week 1 has now come and gone and the Dolphins fan base has been left pretty discouraged about the outcome of this season. While the concern is obviously more than warranted, it’s time to sit back and realize there is still a lot of football to be played this season.
The Dolphins played a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the Houston Texans and get a much more realistic test in...
Sorry Dan Marino. Peyton Manning has tied your record for fourth-quarter comebacks, and Scott Kacsmar just hopes you--and Peyton--get the credit you deserve for it.
