On Saturday, a photo surfaced of President Barack Obama and Robert Griffin III chatting during a NCAA Tournament basketball game at the Verizon Center. Now we know the context of the conversation. Per the Washington Times, the Redskins' dynamic quarterback said Obama spoke to him about "protecting myself." Conversing with scrambling signal-callers isn't unfamiliar territory for Obama. Last year, he urged Michael Vick to slide during games. Like Vick, RGIII was appreciative of the advice. https://twitter.com/RGIII/statuses/318431303068442624 Griffin, who's recovering from a severe knee injury, would be wise to take the POTUS' words to heart.

  • but had nothing to say to Andrew Luck - Rookie, around 5k passing yards, took a 1 win team to 11 wins and the playoffs.. oh wait, Andrew doesn't look like barack hussein
  • Wow, seriously. RG3 got INJURED that's why Obama said to protect himself. And aslo, RG3 took a team that hadn't made the playoffs since '05 to the playoffs. The Colts only missed one year due to an injury. Your amount of ignorance is astounding.
  • Obooba should worry more about the budget deficit than what RG3 is doing. This guy is the WORST president in the history of our nation. STFU Obooba and do your fukkining job you asssshole.

Will the Redskins’ Griffin trade pay off long-term?

I don’t like to be a NFL prophet or oracle or palm reader, because of the nature of the business in the NFL is expect the unexpected. However saying that the Washington Redskins took a big risk with Robert Griffin III, and he still hasn’t paid off is a truthful statement. Did he lead the Redskins to a 10-6 team in 2012? Yes. Did he reenergize a fan base that has been in a bit...
