Preview: Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Overall Analysis: The defense of Notre Dame shouldn't be significantly different from last year. I expect their pass defense to improve slightly, and their rush defense to decline slightly. It is on offense where they need to make huge strides. If the line can be anything other than terrible, and Clausen is healthy, the Irish should be far less pitiful in 2008. They won't be as good as they were with Brady Quinn, but there is no way they repeat last years nightmare.
