Some things in life are just better in twos: socks, gloves, Miller High Life's and the Jets and Patriots playing each other. With no disrespect to the team's in Pittsburgh and Baltimore but the rivalry between New York and New England may just be the best in the sport. With only their record and standing in the AFC East serving as similarities, the Jets and Patriots are polar opposites. The Jets are the plagued have-nots; their history filled with stories of being this close and other near misses. Currently, they are the out-spoken, hard-nosed personification of head coach Rex Ryan's ego...

Rex Ryan Tries the Reverse Jinx by Guaranteeing Jets Are Out of Playoff Race

No coach or player in sports loves a good guarantee more than Rex Ryan.  For whatever reason, the Jets coach just isn’t comfortable letting the season play out.  He has to make an attempt at predicting the outcome.  When the Patriots handed it to New York on Sunday night, a different Rex than the one [...]

Vote: What is the Best Rivalry in the NFL?

Thanks to flex scheduling, just about every Sunday Night Football matchup can stake a claim to involving one of the best rivalries in the NFL. Another of those showdowns takes place Sunday, when the Patriots visit the despised New York Jets. The Pats-Jets rivalry has always been heated, but it has raged into an inferno since Rex Ryan took over as Jets head coach in 2009. Since then...

Initial Reaction: Outclassed – Jets Get Smacked By New England

Sometimes football isn’t a very complicated game. When you miss chip shot field goals, commit stupid penalties, turn the football over, and manage the clock poorly, you aren’t going to win. Tonight was an ugly, sloppy effort from the New York Jets at time when they could least afford it. Don’t put this one on any single individual or unit. Tonight was a team loss, that was...
