Similar to the quarterbacks, these special teams players have clearly defined roles.  Justin Tucker, Sam Koch and Morgan Cox are all excellent in what they do, and they get along really well.  Last season, was yet another successful year for Koch, as he averaged the seventh-best net yards per punt mark in the league.  His most important play of the year was when he purposely took a safety and eight seconds off the clock at the end of the Super Bowl. The Ravens dumped Billy Cundiff because he choked in the 2011 AFC Championship game.  Rookie Justin Tucker did a great job of replacing him.  Best of all, Tucker was actually clutch.  Tucker was a tremendous player for the Ravens last season.  He was an undrafted free agent and shined in practice every day during camp.  That momentum carried over to the regular season, as he converted 90.9 percent (30 of 33), including 4 of 4 from 50+ yards of his field-goal attempts.  Tucker also had 49 touchbacks in 2012 (5th best in the league).  In other words, this group is pretty much set in stone. Thanks to Jacoby Jones, the Ravens scored three special-teams touchdowns compared to none for their opponents in the regular season.  However, they surrendered two touchdowns to the Broncos in the second round of the playoffs. Special teams is something that gets overlooked but is one of the most important factors that could get you a victory.  Where is your opponent starting their drive?  Where is your offense starting their drive, on the 5 or on the 35?  Jacoby Jones is a very valuable asset for Baltimore and in addition to being clutch, Tucker has shown he has ice in his veins from 50+ yards.  Due to the toughness in schedule Baltimore faces for 2013, I’m sure games will be close.  Look for the special teams to be used much more throughout the season.   Follow me on Twitter @TheJADUKES https://twitter.com/TheJADUKES

Baltimore Ravens: Weak AFC will lead to third Super Bowl victory

Previewing the Ravens: Will Baltimore Repeat in 2013?

Baltimore’s victory in Super Bowl XLVII was bittersweet.  The Ravens had a reason to celebrate but it must also be put into perspective.  Ray Lewis will never play for the Baltimore Ravens again, neither will Ed Reed.  They weren’t just great players, they were tempo setters, the generals on the field and they brought intangibles to the team that personified the Ravens playing...

Everybody Loves Vonta Leach--Or Do They?

The true fullback is a dying breed in the NFL. It's something that is a little surprising when you consider the benefit they have to the running game as a lead blocker not to mention as a blocking back or short yardage threat in the passing game. But that is the way of the game these days. That does not mean that there are not still quality fullbacks out there. Some teams...
