According to CSN Bay Area and the Contra County Times, talks are ongoing between the Raiders and franchise player Tyvon Branch and there has been recent progress between the two sides. The Raiders and Branch have no shortage of comparable deals to look at. Players of similar quality such as Eric Weedle, Michael Griffin, and even teammate Michael Huff have all signed in the last calendar year. All got 4-5 year deals worth 7-8 million per year with 15-19 million guaranteed. That will be the ball park for Branch and the safety across the bay, 49ers’ franchise player Dashon Goldson. Branch has already signed his tender for this year so worst case scenario, Branch will play for the Raiders and make 6.2 million this season. For a defense that has already lost so much over the past 2 offseasons, Branch will have to play very well and take on a leadership role this season. He was ProFootballFocus’ 2nd ranked safety against the run behind Troy Polamalu last season and has improved in coverag...

Richard Seymour has High Praise for his Head Coach

Richard Seymour is to the defense, what Carson Palmer is to the offense in terms of leadership.  The former Patriot does it by example.  He’s been there, done that.  He has accomplished just about everything an NFL player can hope to accomplish.  He has 3 Super Bowl rings.  He’s been an all-pro 3 separate times.  [...]

Carson Palmer, the Santa Claus of the NFL

Many pundits have labeled Carson Palmer the Santa Claus of the NFL league because Carson Palmer over the years tends to give gifts to the opposing teams in the form of interceptions and some have labeled him a gun slinger similar to Brett Favre.  However Carson Palmer’s gift giving has to be addressed if the Oakland Raiders plan on [...]

Seahawks fans expunge the bitter memories of Aaron Curry by exploding his jersey (VIDEO)

Seems only fitting that the Seahawks logo remained intact. LB Aaron Curry, drafted 4th overall by the Seahawks in 2009, has turned out to be a monumental bust, to the point that Seattle shipped his underproductive body to the Raiders in October of 2011 for a late round pick in 2012, and a conditional pick in 2013.  Apparently the Wake Forest product had some not-so-nice things...

Aaron Curry is presently a linebacker in the Raiders’ vaunted Whatevs defense. Not long ago, he was a huge bust for the Seahawks, having been taken fourth overall in 2009 Draft by Seattle and producing 126 tackles, 5.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in roughly two and a half seasons. It seems recently he also spoke critically of his former team, which would explain some of the...
