The Baltimore Ravens have added QB Curtis Painter to the Ravens roster. Starting quarterback Joe Flacco is heading into the final season of his rookie contract and backup QB Tyrod Taylor will be starting his second season with the Ravens in 2012. Painter got the starting nod for the Indianapolis Colts after just a few weeks into the 2011 season but was eventually replaced by Dan Orlovsky at the end of the season as the Colts starter.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told the media on Thursday that the signing of Painter will not change the current depth charter, with Tyrod Taylor remaining as the second-string signal caller. Speaking to WBAL yesterday, Harbaugh said, “Tyrod is our number two quarterback, I want to make that very clear. Everybody competes for their job, there’s no doubt about it, we believe that, we always will, but he’s our number two quarterback. He’s entrenched as our number two quarterback.”
Painter, 27, is a product of Purdue University but had seen limited actio...

Baltimore Ravens 2012 NFL Schedule: Game-by-Game Analysis
Of course a full-scale, detailed game-by-game analysis of any NFL team’s schedule months prior to the first game, before training camp and the preseason, and well before final rosters are even set, probably isn’t the most useful exercise in predicting a team’s 2012 fate. We should also recognize the absurdity of the NFL’s primetime showcase dedicated to the schedule release...
