Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Johnson has a visit scheduled with the Washington Redskins on Wednesday. This will be the first visit for Johnson of this free agency period. Washington has executed a trade with the St. Louis Rams in order to move into the second overall selection in next month’s draft and the team has signed Rex Grossman for another year. Washington is fully expected to select Baylor QB Robert Griffin III with the second overall pick.
No one in the NFL was perhaps hoping QB Alex Smith would sign someplace other than San Francisco, it might have been Josh Johnson. You could connect the dots as San Francisco as a possible landing spot for Johnson given his association with head coach Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh coached Josh Johnson at San Diego in the college ranks.
In Josh Johnson’s senior year at San Diego, he went the entire season throwing just one interception, an interception which was caused by the ball bouncing off a players shoulder pads. He was d...

The Iron Man will show his mettle for at least one more year.
Ronde Barber, a fixture of the Tampa Bay Bucs secondary since the late 1990s, will return for his 16th season, the club announced Wednesday. Thats good news for a secondary that was burned for a league-worst 30 touchdowns last year.
The 36-year-old cornerback currently holds the longest active streak for starts in the...
I’ll say Shanny had the chicken wings, while Danny boy ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar salad, the perfect side dish for his Napoleon Complex.
Dan Snyder, Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan and Bruce Allen flew down to Waco, Texas to take in Robert Griffin III’s pro day on Wednesday, and of course the first place they hit was a local Hooters. The thought of drafting RG3 has everybody...
I saw the tweet on my timeline this morning and thought Deadspin was up to its old tricks."Before watching RGIII throw, San Snyder and Mike Shanahan visit Hooters," shouted the headline.
Pursue the story and one finds photographic evidence that the Washington Redskins brain trust (hush yo' mouth) went to the local Hooters the night before Robert Griffin III's...
According to FOX Sports analyst Jay Glazer, veteran CB Ronde Barber will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for yet one more season. Tampa Bay Buccaneers faithful on the surface will love this news, but Barber is not the player he once was. Tampa is currently trying to juggle their defensive backfield with CB Aqib Talib facing possible jail time or at least, a league...
Dan Snyder and Mike Shanahan’s visit to a Hooters in Texas is already documented on D.C. Sports Bog and Hogs Haven, so all that’s left to do is make one killer joke, right? Okay, no pressure. Whew. Here goes …
They must’ve enjoyed it, because Shanny’s face is covered in wing sauce.
Besides loyalty, there is only one other trait I expect from NFL fans:The ability to remain objective.I don't want to talk to Philadelphia Eagles fans who get defensive when I tell them the truth about their team. I don't want to hear a Baltimore Ravens fan tell me every year thattheir team will win the championship that season, even though they haven't won the title...
According Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, veteran cornerback Ronde Barber has decided to hold off on retiring and has told the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that he plans on coming back for another season.
Barber will be turning 37 years-old next month and still had a very good season in 2011, after recording 79 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 3 interceptions.
The news of Tim Tebow’s trade to the Jets was so captivating even the Redskins’ official Twitter account decided to weigh in:
Can’t imagine a more awkward fit than Tim Tebow going to the New York Jets…Just 2 cents.

Thanks for the analysis on the matter, Skins. I didn’t know official team accounts were designed to offer opinions...
