Locked him up too!
More good news today on the Seahawks signing front. The Seahawks have won the bidding war for quarterback Matt Flynn.
A short while ago word came across the NFL news wire that all of us Seattle Seahawks fans wanted to hear.
Matt Flynn flew into Seattle on Thursday night, stayed until Friday night, and reports were that he left without being offered a contract.
Reports then surfaced that he was in Miami on Saturday morning having a physical at the Dolphins facility. Word has also come in now that Alex Smith of the 49ers is set to come to Seattle for a visit. No word yet on what will happen with that plan. We’ll know more shortly.
The agents for Flynn and John Schneider and Pete Carroll of the Seahawks must have kept open the lines of communication, and a deal has been struck.
Reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on his twitter account said the Seahawks signed Flynn to a 3-year deal.
Filed to ESPN: Matt Flynn has agreed to terms witj Seattle on a 3-yr contract worth up to $26M w/$10M guaranteed.

Matt Flynn is a 6’2″ 225 lb quarterback from Tyler, Texas. He went to Louisiana State and won a national championship with the Tigers under Les Miles.
The Tigers beat Ohio State 38-24. Flynn was named offensive MVP of the game and the Tigers were ranked an undisputed #1 in the polls.
Flynn attended Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, where he was coached by Mike Owens. He chose LSU over Tennessee, Texas Tech, Texas A&M.

Seahawks get their QB in Matt Flynn
Whats all the NFL fuss about with Flynn you ask? It mainly boils down to two NFL games. Plus a verbal pat on the back from Green Bay Packers starter Aaron Rogers. (Which doesn’t hurt)
Matt Flynn started the final game of the 2011 season against the Detroit Lions. He threw for 480 yards and 6 touchdowns in the 45-41 victory, both of which set all-time Green Bay Packers records. Here’s the VIDEO.
On December 19, 2010, Flynn made his first NFL start against the Patriots after starting QB Aaron Rodgers was not cleared to start.
Flynn threw three touchdown passes the Pats and one INT. The Packers lost the game 31-27 but people took notice of Flynn after he completed 23 of 37 passes for 254 yards in the loss.
Here’s hoping he comes in and takes a firm hold on the Seahawks quarterback position. No offense to T-Jack whom our writers do like.
We just want to a fair and square quarterback competition.
Earlier today the Seahawks also signed Jason Jones a 25 year old 6’5″ 275 lb DT from Detroit Michigan. He signed a 1 year contract with Seattle.
Choosing them over St. Louis who earlier in the day signed Kendell Langford.
He’ll be another pass rushing option for Gus Bradley and Pete Carroll on their new and improving #9 ranked Seahawks defense.
Key Stats in 2011 for the Titans

We found some video up on Flynn’s first start versus the Patriots.
