The San Diego Chargers, after blowing an eleven point lead, traveled back to America's Finest City on Sunday night with a loss in their pocket. In the mind of cornerback Quentin Jammer, it wasn't a loss they earned, but instead, it was stuffed in their pockets against their will by incompetent officials.
After collecting 13 penalties for 95 yards (with a previous season average of 4.4 penalties per game), Jammer had this to say after the loss. Via Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post:
"I don't have to say anything about what the refs did -- everyone saw how the calls went," Jammer said in a decidedly angry Chargers locker room at MetLife Stadium. "When you're not getting the chance to play the way you play, it's upsetting."
Asked if the officiating was consistent, Jammer said: "Yeah -- consistently bad. No way it was called fairly. No way. Not at all. It wasn't called fairly at all. Maybe I'm being biased, but I'm just judging of...
