Quentin Jammer's career in San Diego may not have been Darrelle Revis-like; however, he still remains a big name free agent still left on the cornerback market. The Redskins have displayed significant interest in the former Texas Longhorn, and hope to sign him before draft day. Jammer's value and production has stayed relatively consistent over the last 11 years, and has not seen a drastic drop in production quite yet.The NFC East is stockpiled with talented receivers, who clearly took advantage of Washington's porous secondary last season. New York's Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks should challenge Washington's cornerbacks this season, along with Dallas' Dez Bryant and Miles Austin. After his holdout his rookie year in 2002, he started just four games. Since 2003, he has started nearly every game for San Diego, and could prove to be a beneficial veteran experience for Mike Shanahan's defense, along with middle linebacker London Fletcher. Despite his veteran experience, Jammer has been branded as a deep target for quarterbacks, and frequently is the victim of deep players down the field. The Redskins are metaphorically "scrapping the bottom of the barrel" by going after Jammer. After striking out with former Minnesota Vikings and current Seattle Seahawk Antoine Winfield, the Redskins have nowhere else to turn. The top free agent cornerbacks still left on the market include Sheldon Brown, Rashean Mathis, Jacob Lacey, Terrence McGee, Stanford Routt, Marcus Trufant, Leigh Bodden, Shawnte Spencer, William Middleton, Pat Lee, Cedric Griffin, Jason Allen, Michael Adams, Ryan Mouton, Michael Coe, Drew Coleman, Alphonso Smith, and Chris Carr.
