After delivering a shot on Chargers’ running back Ryan Mathews Sunday, Buccaneers veteran linebacker Quincy Black fell limp to the ground. He gave everyone a thumbs up as he was carted off on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. But head coach Greg Schiano stated Black has a serious injury. “Overall, he’s going to be okay but it’s serious and how much time that means? We’re going to have to see,” Schiano said at his Monday press conference. “There’s a lot of smart, good doctors that are working on it right now for Quincy which makes me feel good that we are going to get the best care and get the best solution and get him back to being well.” Schiano stated that Black is having complications with his left arm but has not lost function throughout his body. Schiano also added that Black has no spinal cord injury. The team has already ruled him out for next Sunday’s game against Carolina and until further testing is completed, no timetable will be set on his return.
