Raiders defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who has been slowed by sore knees through much of camp, missed practice again Wednesday. Seymour played Friday night at Arizona but hasn't practiced since then. He missed the exhibition opener against Dallas, but Raiders coach Dennis Allen said “the plan” is for Seymour to play Saturday against Detroit. “It's not an injury,” Allen said. “He's an older veteran guy, and his knees get a little sore, so we try to rest him to make sure we get him ready to play. … I think any time you go into camp you kind of know at some point in time some of these veteran players are going to need some time off. He pushed real hard early in camp, and then as we kind of have gotten into camp we've taken more time off with him.”

On friday night, the Oakland Raiders flew down to Arizona to face the Cardinals as part of  week 2 of the 2012 NFL pre season. 2012 NFL season: No More Excuses for Carson Palmer

Carson Palmer has been given riches he did not earn. Carson Palmer was given the title of elite, yet he is consistently mediocre. His failures in Cincinnati were charged to the game because of the “environment”, but now it is time for the Palmer to earn his keep. Since day one Palmer has been given things he did not earn. The quarterback was given the Bengal’s starting quarterback...

Carson Palmer not concerned with the Raiders’ offense

AP Quarterback Carson Palmer isn’t worried about the Raiders offense as the preseason winds down.  He says they just need to clean some things up. “Obviously we haven’t done what we expected to do, but it’s not a concern,” Palmer said Tuesday via The Sacramento Bee. “We just need to clean some things up. We’ve made a handful of mistakes and hurt ourselves, but it...

Carson Palmer believes that Chad Johnson will bounce back.

For seven years quarterback Carson Palmer played the straight-laced family man to Chad Johnson’s nutty free spirit in their rendition of the comedy The Odd Couple. If you looked closely during their heyday Palmer was in on more than a couple of Johnson’s showboating antics and pranks. So it’s no surprise that Palmer harbors no ill-will towards him and in fact supports him...

Maurice Jones-Drew wearing Silver and Black?

I know it sounds insane for the Oakland Raiders to make a play at Maurice Jones-Drew who is in a contract dispute with the Jacksonville Jaguars over money, but the Raiders backfield is lacking behind Darren McFadden.
