Raiders inactives: QB Jason Campbell, OL Bruce Campbell, RB Darren McFadden, RB Taiwan Jones, S Michael Huff, DT John Henderson and WR Jacoby Ford. Starting FS Michael Huff (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday’s game against Detroit, a big blow for a Raiders secondary facing Detroit’s explosive passing attack. Huff doubles as a nickel corner, covering slot receivers, so the Raiders will have to make some major adjustments in the secondary. Matt Giordano will likely take Huff’s spot in the base defense.

Janikowski misses 65-yard FG; would have won game, broke record

Sebastian Janikowski has wanted for a kick like this all his life: A game-winning field goal that would set the record for longest kick in NFL history. It was his chance to prove his worth to his team, the Oakland Raiders, and show the rest of the league that the team's much-mocked first-round pick on the FSU kicker in the 2000 draft was actually one of the better selections...

Foot Injury Likely To Sideline Raiders RB Darren McFadden For Rest Of 2011

While Oakland Raiders coach Hue Jackson made it clear this week that running back Darren McFadden will not need surgery on his injured foot, it is unlikely McFadden will play again this season, according to team sources. Raiders Hardly Look Like a Playoff Team

Perhaps it just isn’t meant to be. Perhaps the Raiders – who looked so explosive and physical early in the season -- simply aren’t good enough to be a playoff team. After three straight losses, including Sunday’s crushing come-from-ahead fourth-quarter failure against the Lions, the 7-7 Raiders may have just fumbled away one too many opportunities. This team...
