Rolando McClain may not be free from the Raiders just yet. The organization suspended the linebacker this week. See why.
Paul Guiterrez of CSNBayArea.com sat down with Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenizie and asked if linebacker Rolando McClain has played his last game in Oakland.
“It’s going to be a possibility because we suspended him,” said McKenizie, per Guiterrez. “Now, it’s always what’s going to happen afterward. What’s his approach afterward? I know what he texted...
It’s already becoming an unfortunate trend to the 2012 Oakland Raiders. For the fourth week in a row, the Silver&Black has seen the game get out of hand early, with the defense conceding too many points and the offense not being able to keep up with the opposition. It was no different against the Bengals last Sunday, when the Raiders [...]
With just over a month left in the regular season, the AFC West is just about wrapped up. The Broncos can clinch the division with a win and a San Diego loss, assuring themselves at least one home playoff game. Denver has led this thing wire-to-wire and it really hasn’t been close. Hindsight being 20/20, this shouldn’t have surprised anyone. [...]
This definitely qualifies as one of the most awkward moments in sports. Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain thought he was going to be cut and expressed his relief and excitement on his Facebook page, only to discover the Raiders were going to suspend him for two games for conduct detrimental to the team.McClain had been in legal trouble earlier this year for pulling a firearm...
It’s not often we talk about other players not associated with the Houston Texans, but the name of Oakland Raiders inside linebacker Rolando McClain has come up. According to multiple sources, the former 8th overall pick (2010 NFL Draft) is set to “no longer” be a Raider.
These tweets came out about McClain and his recent comments.
Former Bama LB Rolando McClain no...
The Oakland Raiders announced today that they are suspending malcontent LB Rolando McClain for "conduct detrimental to the team", according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.
All we hear at this point is that they are reportedly not going to release him, so we're not exactly sure what his future will be with the team going forward. They also didn't say how long he...
The slump continues for the Oakland Raiders. After going winless on November, the Silver&Black kept their losing streak going with another defeat, this time to the Cleveland Browns. After letting the opposition open a 10-point lead in the second quarter, the Raiders closed the distance to a field goal in the third, but were never able to score again until [...]
When Rolando McClain was holding up the BCS National Championship trophy back in January of 2010, I thought there was no way this kid wasn’t going to be a stud at the next level. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who felt that way as all of the draft experts had him as a top ten pick and easily the best linebacker in the draft. But then, he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders...
It's uncertain that Oakland Raider QB Carson Palmer (thumb) will be able to play Sunday vs. the Cleveland Browns, and that means Matt Leinart will get the start.
It also means Terrelle Pryor will be right behind him, and might possibility see action as well. "I'm preparing to play," Leinart said. "Terrelle, he might get some stuff where we can use his athletic...
Last night ESPN’s Ed Werder reported that the Raiders were going to release linebacker Rolando McClain after his heated argument with head coach Dennis Allen.
Right now, I’m not so sure that the Raiders will release McClain. Today Allen told the media that McClain was advised to not attend practice and he complied. You would think that if they were going to released him,...
