TEAMS: Oakland Raiders

For the Oakland Raiders it seems ineveitable that along with the passing of legendary owner Al Davis, and his son Mark Davis’s subsequent takeover will come a search for the right GM to take the team to new heights. The search will continue Wednesday when Packers’ director of football operations Reggie McKenzie will interview in Oakland. It would seem that McKenzie has a leg up on any other candidates, as ProFootballTalk subtly points out, in observing how ex-Packers GM Ron Wolf who is currently leading the search is “strongly advocating” for McKenzie, who will bring Wolf’s son Eliot (current Green Bay assistant director of player personnel) along with him to the interview. Coach Hue Jackson’s personnel power would be limited, which should be music to the ears of most fans of the Silver and Black.
