NFL Injury Report:
The Oakland Raiders will be without running backs Darren
McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) and defensive lineman Richard Seymour
(knee/hamstring) when they take on the New Orleans Saints today, while wide
receiver Darius Heyward-Bey (hamstring) and safety Tyvon Branch (neck) are
questionable to play, according to the team’s injury report.
McFadden and Goodson both missed practice all week as they
continued to sport walking boots following their diagnosis of high ankle
sprains. Without McFadden and Goodson, Oakland is once again expected to depend
on fullback Marcel Reece.
Seymour was also unable to practice and will miss another
week of action due to his knee injury. Heyward-Bey’s injured hamstring has him
considered as a game-time decision, while offensive lineman Khalif Barnes
(groin), defensive back Matt Giordano (concussion), kicker Sebastian Janikowski
(groin) and tight ends Richard Gordon (hamstring) and Brandon Myers
(shoulder/concussion) are all probable to play.

Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen told reporters on Monday that he’s “hopeful” RB Darren McFadden will be able to return from his recent ankle injury and play against the Bengals in Week 12, per Vic Tafur.
McFadden will need to practice throughout the week before we can consider him a go, but at least there’s a possibility. Marcel Reece figures to see more action even...
At this point of the season, I’m not looking at the glass half full, or half empty. I’m just wondering who drank my beer. For the first time this season, I failed to watch the entire Raiders game. After the 3rd quarter, my heart just could not take it anymore. I had to turn it off. I knew how it [...]

Sitting at 3-6, the Raiders’ hopes of making a run at the playoffs continue to slip with every passing week. With a matchup against the red hot New Orleans Saints, their prospects do not get any easier. Considering the struggles of both defenses, this game could easily turn into the biggest of shootouts. Accordingly so, here are the Raiders’ Week [...]
The Bengals are back to the break-even mark as they get ready for a reunion. Carson Palmer is returning to town.
The Bengals (5-5) have gotten back into playoff contention by playing their best games of the season back-to-back. They've beaten the defending Super Bowl-champion Giants 31-13 and the lowly Chiefs 28-6 in the last two weeks, emerging from a four-game losing streak...
Raiders running back Darren McFadden will miss a second consecutive game when the team hosts the New Orleans Saints this coming Sunday.
McFadden reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain during the first half of Oakland's Nov. 4 matchup with Tampa Bay and was inactive for last Sunday's loss at Baltimore.
Backup Mike Goodson, also dealing with a sprained ankle, was also...
Current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden always generates interest at this time of the year when it appears that coaching vacancies will be opening up. Last week, a rumor surfaced that Gruden was interviewing prospects for a possible coaching staff and his return to the sidelines in 2013 was inevitable. It now appears that Jon Gruden will return to the sidelines of the Oakland Raiders, the...
Oakland Raiders legendary punter Ray Guy is probably the greatest at his position ever in the NFL. What really is surprising, however, is that he still isn’t even in the Hall of Fame yet.
The media and everyone has given special teams a bad name, most for the kickers and punters. Punters are not very favored by the NFL, as seeing a punt play isn’t exactly...
Four Raiders and one Bengal have been fined $26,250 each for fighting in last Sunday's game.
Cincinnati tackle Andrew Whitworth and Oakland defensive linemen Desmond Bryant, Lamarr Houston,

Also fined for actions in other games were Texans defensive end J.J. Watt $15,750 for roughing the passer after he struck Lions quarterback...
OAKLAND -- The New Orleans' Saints long climb back to .500 ended Sunday with a 38-17 rout of the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum. After starting 0-4, the Saints are now 5-5, and they have no intention of going backward. "It's been a long grind, especially starting off 0-4," Saints strong safety Roman Harper said. "We never pointed fingers, we stuck...

The Oakland Raiders backfield has been struck by the injury bug. RB Darren McFadden (ankle) will likely not play this week when the Raiders host the New Orleans Saints. He will not play this week and should be considered...
