As it stands, David Ausberry tops the Raiders’ depth chart at tight end. Yeah, that’s not gonna fly.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports on a potential solution to the Raiders’ tight end woes:
#Raiders fans will be interested to know they’ve expressed interest in TE Kellen Winslow, who is finally healthy. He wants to keep going.

Winslow, 29, had one catch with the Patriots in 2012 before he asked for and was granted his release in September. Even if Winslow isn’t the answer, the Raiders need to eventually address tight end after losing former starter Brandon Myers to the Jets over the weekend.
Winslow’s next team would be his fourth in the last year. In 2011 with the Bucs, Winslow had 75 catches for 763 yards and two TD’s. Even if Winslow can remain healthy and somehow play at that level, his signing could be a steal for Reggie McKenzie and the Raiders. But I get the feeling that that type of production from Winslow won’t happen again. But,...

Two more starters and picks from the '09 draft have vacated for greener (Cha Ching) pastures. The very solid and productive Tight End Brandon Myers(79/806 4 tds in 2012) and pass rusher Matt Shaughnessy, who has been chronically injured but his potential is off the charts. With other starters including long time Raider and perpetually the best punter in the NFL Shane Lechler...

The wheels are apparently in motion finally for Rolando McClain’s departure from the Raiders.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Raiders have given permission to McClain’s agent to seek a trade for his client:

At the end of last week, the Raiders signed former Chicago Bears LB Nick Roach to a 4 year deal worth up to $13 million. The 6’1 235 lbs linebacker played as the Bears starting strong-side linebacker last year (strong side is the side of the line where the tight end lines up) for most of the season but filled in at middle linebacker for the last four games of the season when...
Semi-scary and bizarre news out of Alameda, where early Tuesday a car reportedly was set ablaze at Raiders HQ.
The Contra Costa Times has the details:
A car fire at the Oakland Raiders’ training facility early Tuesday appears to be the result of arson, police said.
Nobody was injured and the Raiders’ facility at 1220 Harbor Bay Parkway never was threatened by the blaze, which...
The Oakland Raiders have announced the signing of free agent LB Kevin Burnett.
Burnett, 30, was recently released by the Dolphins as the worked to revamp their linebacking corps. Last year, Burnett was rated as the No. 4 best 4-3 outside linebacker, so this could be a great addition for a Raiders defense that had shed a lot of talent in the past two years.
We had Burnett listed as...
