Robert Griffin III
New York Jets
In the modern NFL it’s rare if a team carries three quarterbacks. This season the Jets, Raiders and Redskins plan on carrying four. At least for now that is.
The Jets will have Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Matt Simms and Graham Harrell. I could see Harrell getting released once Sanchez gets healthy. They probably don’t want Simms backing up Smith in next weeks opener.
The Redskins have Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins, Rex Grossman and Pat White on their roster. I don’t understand why they kept White. Yes, he can help them prepare for teams with mobile quarterbacks, but that’s a waste of a roster spot in my opinion.
The Raiders will kick off the season with Matt Flynn, Terrelle Pryor, Tyler Wilson and Matt McGloin.
