Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was ordered to stand trial on May 17 for threatening to kill a man in Alabama in December.
McClain punched a man before holding a gun to his head and firing a shot past the man's ear, according to police reports.
He pleaded not guilty to charges of misdemeanor assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and firing a gun inside city limits.
An attorney for McClain said his client denied firing the gun or being involved in the skirmish.
McClain, the 2009 Butkus Award winner while starring at Alabama, was in the state to attend his grandfather's funeral when the incident occurred.

Raiders Could Decide to Trade McFadden
According to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times, the best way for the Oakland Raiders to accumulate more draft picks might be for general manager Reggie McKenzie to trade running back Darren McFadden.
It would make a lot of sense to deal McFadden away, since he’s had trouble staying healthy and the Raiders already have Michael Bush who can easily be their lead back along...

AP Source: Raiders finalizing deal with new coach
The Oakland Raiders are finalizing a deal with Denver defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to make him their new head coach.

Lane Kiffin Gets Dissed By SportsNation
I guess Lane Kiffin‘s stint with the Oakland Raiders was memorable. As much as I want to act like SportsNation made a mistake, I’d prefer to think this was a blatant insult to the terrible coaching job Kiffin did in the NFL. Either way, the guy is a cheesedick. Cheers mate.
Tice will not interview for Raiders job
Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice will not interview for the Oakland Raiders vacant head coaching job as originally planned.
