NFL Trade Rumors:
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Raiders second-round pick LT Menelik Watson underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair torn lateral meniscus last week, and is expected to be out for the next month.
Oakland is already without, arguably, their best player in Jared Veldheer for a good portion of the season. It appeared as though they were willing to give veteran Alex Barron a shot handling the position a few weeks ago, but they ultimately cut him loose.
As things stand right now, Khalif Barnes and Tony Pashos are their starting tackles, so Watson cannot return soon enough. Thankfully for the Raiders, they get the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend.

The Raiders seemed to take my last article to heart, nearly taking the football world by storm and upsetting the Colts‘ home opener. While fans of other teams have jumped on the bandwagon against the Jaguars, history hasn’t really been kind to the Raiders in games they were supposed to win. Over the past few seasons, the Raiders have had a tendency to show up in games where they...
The 2013 Oakland Raiders will be equipped with some of the most explosive offensive weapons in the NFL. While Reggie McKenzie has moved away from the Al Davis philosophy of drafting the fastest player possible, the Raiders still have the fastest quarterback in the NFL and the fastest wide receivers in the league. Now that the explosive Terrelle Pryor is at the helm of the Raiders’...
I wrote an article yesterday saying that Darren McFadden is no longer a star player for the Oakland Raiders. Tonight I re-watched the game film of McFadden’s week one performance and my opinion on him has not changed. On Sunday McFadden carried the ball 17 times for 48 yards which game him a pathetic 2.8 yards per carry. McFadden was also not a major factor in the passing game...
Hello again Raider Nation. Week 2 is upon us and with it comes another interesting slate of AFC West matchups. Last week I went 3-1 picking AFC West games, losing foolishly by picking the Ravens to upset the Broncos. This week’s games are a little tougher to predict, but I’ll do my best. I keep checking my mailbox for the […]

Despite leaving the Lucas Oil Stadium with a loss last Sunday, the Oakland Raiders surprised a lot of people with the way they played against the widely favorites Indianapolis Colts. The Silver & Black conceded a 14-point deficit early in the second quarter, but responded with 17 straight of their own led by the new starting quarterback, Terrelle Pryor. But […]

The Oakland Raiders have given fullback Marcell Reece a three-year extension.
Reece, 28, will become the NFL’s highest paid fullback with a new deal worth over $13 million with $7.2 million guaranteed. It will keep one of the Raiders targets out of the backfield on the team.
Last season Reece caught 52 passes for 496 yards and...
The Raiders and fullback Marcel Reece have reached an agreement on a three-year, $13 million contract extension.Fantasy Spin:According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, $7.2 million of that is guaranteed. Reece was the most productive fullback in football by a wide margin last season (271 rushing yards, 496 receiving yards). Now he's finally getting paid like it.
Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski has kicked off the infield dirt at the Coliseum for so long now that it's become almost second nature to him.
That's why Janikowski was surprised - and a bit angry - to read a published report saying he annually roots for the Oakland Athletics to miss the playoffs so the dirt can be replaced with sod.
The Raiders are the only...
The Oakland Raiders have just signed their fullback and Darren McFadden insurance policy to a nice extension.
Raiders.com is reporting that the team and fullback Marcel Reece have agreed to a three year extension.

The Oakland Raiders have announced that they’ve signed fullback Marcel Reece to a three-year extension.
Now in his sixth season with the Silver and Black, Reece has appeared in 47 games for the Raiders, making 31 starts since 2008 and totaled 106 rushes for 505 yards (4.8 yards per carry) with 107 receptions for 1,159 yards (10.8 yards per reception).
The 6-foot-1, 255-pound Reece...
The Raiders put up a great fight versus the Jacksonville Jaguars and the offense looked light years ahead of last year’s poorly run unit. The defense also did better than expected against Andrew Luck and a Colts offense that looks like it can score some points when it’s in sync.
This week may be the only time this season that the Raiders are favored but the game comes against...

One of the most powerful trends in betting is known as the six and six trend, meaning teams who finish with 6 wins or fewer are 25-69 ATS as favorites of 6 or more since 2002. There are two issues with this trend. One, it’s very rare (it only happened 7 times all last season, going 2-5 ATS). Two, it’s even rarer that a situation...
