We shared on Wednesday that running back Rashad Jennings and safety Reggie Smith announced the world via social media that they had agreed to contracts with the Raiders. Whatever amount of doubt arose only because the Raiders hadn’t said anything yet.
Well, it’s all official now. The Raiders announced the signings on Thursday.
Jennings, second string behind Maurice Jones-Drew in Jacksonville last year, is expected to fill the backup role behind Darren McFadden.
Smith, who’s played with the 49ers but couldn’t make it out of training camp with the Panthers last season, will be one of those competing for the starting free safety spot in the secondary.

The JaMarcus Russell train back to the NFL has slowed down a bit if not derailed in the past few days. Russell has canceled his pro day and instead will focus on trying to secure workouts with teams.

Both organizations wasted no time in refuting those rumors...
The Raiders have reportedly agreed to a deal with quarterback Seneca Wallace, first reported by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.
