According to Len Pasquarelli of Yahoo Sports, the Oakland Raiders will attempt to retain safety Tyvon Branch as they continue to re-shuffle their roster this offseason. Branch will be a free agent on March 13th and the Raiders would ultimately like to get a long-term deal worked out.  If that can’t happen they will probably slap him with the franchise tag. The best cse scenario for the Raiders would be to get a long-term deal done with Branch, because that would enable them to use the franchise tag on running back Michael Bush.
