Darren McFadden looks to be out for week 9

The injury bugged has hit the Raiders offense hard this season.  Darren McFadden is looking like he’ll miss this weekends week 9 match up against the Denver Broncos according to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times.  McFadden went down in week 7 against the Chiefs and the Raiders were hoping the week 8 bye would be enough time for McFadden to heal. The Raiders are planning...

Foot sprain leaves Raiders RB McFadden's status doubtful

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden seems unlikely to play Sunday after not practicing again since spraining his foot in an Oct. 23 loss to Kansas City.

Darren McFadden Likely Out this Week

According toSteve Corkran of the Bay Area News Group,  the Oakland Raiders will likely rest running back Darren McFadden for this week’s game against the Broncos.  They are hoping the rest will help him be ready for the Chargers game the following week. Michael Bush will carry the bulk of the load on Sunday if [...]

McFadden Likely to Miss Sunday's Game

It appears more likely that the Raiders will be without running back Darren McFadden for Sunday’s game at the Coliseum vs. the Denver Broncos. Several reporters who cover the team reported seeing McFadden on crutches Wednesday, with his right foot still in a walking boot. McFadden sprained the foot early in the Raiders’ 28-0 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Oct. 23, Oakland’s...

Life without Darren McFadden wouldn’t be pretty for Raiders

Everyone focused on the quarterbacks two weeks ago when the Raiders got blanked 28-0 by the Chiefs. That tends to happen when six interceptions are thrown. Carson Palmer’s debut obscured a bigger story in that game.  Oakland’s best offensive player, Darren McFadden, left early with a foot injury. And the Raiders offense couldn’t score a…

7-on-7: Murky outlook for McFadden, Andre, Hillis, Kolb

In a Raiders live chat on Tuesday, Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times kinda bummed me out. This was his reaction when asked if Darren McFadden (foot sprain) would be available for the Week 9 match-up with Denver: He's a toss-up at this point. My guess is, the Raiders will hold him out and hope he's ready for the Chargers game on the 10th. Unpleasant assessment, obviously...

McFadden has yet to practice with Raiders since foot injury

It doesn't appear as though running back Darren McFadden is any closer to returning from a mid-foot sprain for the Raiders.

WR Houshmandzadeh brings skill, toughness to Raiders

The Broncos expect to see a retooled offense from the Raiders this week, especially with running back Darren McFadden having been held out of practice with a foot injury and with Oakland's signing of wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Bush Ready to Roll vs. Tebow's Broncos

Broncos coach John Fox knows Darren McFadden isn’t expected to play Sunday, but he also knows it’s not likely to make much of a difference in the Raiders’ game plan against his team Sunday. “You know when you play the Raiders you’re going to play a physical, up-front team that’s going to pound it at you, running the ball,” he said on a conference call this week. ...
