Seattle Seahawks May Keep Braylon Edwards Or Terrell Owens, But Likely Not Both

The Seattle Seahawks decided this past offseason that they had a wide receiving corps that was not exactly up to the standards of the rest of the National Football League. Not even if the watered down NFC West. Seattle went forward and cut Mike Williams, who had been one of their better receivers a couple of seasons ago. That left them with Ben Obomanu and Deon Butler atop the team’s...

Seattle Seahawks Will Trade Tarvaris Jackson, But Will Any Team Want Him?

The Seattle Seahawks are likely looking to trade quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, as Matt Flynn is cementing himself as the team’s starter, and while Russell Wilson appears more than capable of handling the back up role. So while the Seahawks are more than willing to move Jackson before the next week or so, the question remains, what team would actually want Jackson at this point...

Marshawn Lynch Looks Great in Camp

ESPN Radio 710 in Seattle reports Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch seems to have gained an extra burst of speed after arriving at camp with a slimmer physique than in past seasons.Fantasy Spin:At his heaviest Lynch was around 225 pounds, which is 10 pounds heavier than he is listed at right now. The added quickness will be beneficial to Lynch when he finds an opening but having...

T.O.: 'No longer' with Seahawks

Terrell Owens says he is ''no longer'' a member of the Seattle Seahawks. The 38-year-old wide receiver posted the news on his Twitter account. ''I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.'' Owens signed a one-year deal with Seattle earlier...

Camp update: State of the Seahawks 2012 UDFA rookie class

Undrafted Free Agents Earlier today I weighed in with a 2012 NFL draft rookie report card after the Seahawks first game in the NFL pre-season. These 6 guys are players who are looking to either impress the Seahawks enough to keep them or put enough solid performances on tape that some other team will be interested in giving them a chance. For some this preseason will be the only...

Gamecocks Football: 13 Days Until Kickoff

Today there are 13 days left until kickoff. 13 is the record for receiving touchowns in a season.  Sidney Rice set the record in 2005.  Like the single season rushing TD record, this record was set during a freshman season.  Rice redshirted the 2004 season and was excellent in 2005.  He had another stellar year in 2006 and moved on to the NFL.  He currently plays for the Seattle...

Final Public Practice – Observations

Notable Points Judging from this practice alone, Matt Flynn is the clear-cut favorite to start in week 1 of the regular season. Flynn, as advertised, showed crispness in his mechanics and his accuracy was top-notch, (only 3 incompletions during the entire practice). He often checked down short passes rather than airing it out deep, but did flash his arm on several occasions as...
