The Oakland Raiders have signed Korey Bosworth, the organization announced Thursday. His uncle is former Seattle Seahawks and University of Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth. Bosworth, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker out of UCLA, adds depth to that position on the Raiders roster. He will wear No. 97, and is expected to make the trip with the team to Arizona for Fridays preseason game. Officially a second-year player, Bosworth initially signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2010. He spent parts of training camp with the Detroit Lions in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and played in the Lions preseason opener last week vs. Cleveland. Source: The Redzone

Jacoby Ford went down in the first half of the Oakland Raiders game vs. Arizona. He caught a 9 yard pass from Carson Palmer and got up very gingerly. He limped off the field and at first refused the help of the trainers. He looked to be very frustrated, which usually means the player knows [...]
Detroit Lions linebacker Justin Durant is not impressed with the way his teammates have conducted themselves this offseason. Durant participated in a chat at Freep.com and was asked by a fan about the total of six arrests from four players that the Lions have experienced this offseason. Durant said it’s time for players in Detroit to make better decisions. [...]
In 2011, the AFC West received criticism for being one of the worst divisions in football. Rightfully so following a division winning team led by Tim Tebow at quarterback who finished 8-8 while backing into the playoffs. 2012 is fixed to be completely different as Denver improved with Peyton Manning, San Diego will most likely [...]

Who would have thought that the Lions could come back from a record-setting 0-16 season in 2008 only to make it to the playoffs in 2011?
Lions fans, of course, and even analysts predicting that without such an abysmal year the Lions couldn’t have picked up the young Georgia quarterback to begin their comeback journey. What does 2012 have in store for Detroit?
Let’s take a look...
Before suffering a concussion that cost him the final 10 games of the 2011 NFL Season, Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best was one of the top PPR Fantasy Football running backs around. In fact, in PPR leagues, Best finished the season with fifth-highest point per game average, as he averaged over 18 fantasy points a game in six games last season.
Fantasy owners were hoping...
Oakland Raiders receiver and returner Jacoby Ford has been ruled out for Monday night's game against San Diego because of a sprained left foot.
Ford hasn't practiced or played since being injured Aug. 17 in a preseason game at Arizona. Ford, who missed six games with a sprained left foot last season, hasn't run on the field since his latest foot injury.
The Detroit Lions played host to a busload of area police officers to pay tribute to all the fine work they do. Players at the practice gave them all a warm welcome.
"They come out here, and they're excited, obviously, to high-five us, and get autographs, wide receiver Nate Burleson told WXYZ. "But they do a more important job than what we do."
Calvin Johnson, with help from his quarterback Matthew Stafford, can turn clouds to sunshine in an instant.
Thats what he seemingly did Friday night for the Detroit Lions in their 27-12 preseason victory over the Ravens in Baltimore.
The Lions had more penalty yards (58) than total offense (45) when Johnson, the NFLs best receiver, took the game over early in the second quarter...
First it was Carson Palmer with the Raiders. Then you see it this week on Hard Knocks at Dolphins camp. Yes my friends, the Dong Haircut is taking over in rookie hazing.
Pretty funny. I give Carson Palmer the nod for barber after he stinks this season with the Raiders.
Under the friday night lights, the Oakland Raiders hit the University of Phoenix field to battle against Arizona. After going scoreless versus the Cowboys on Monday night, the Silver & Black were looking to put up its first points of 2012 as the NFL pre-season reaches week 2. Players who did not suit up for [...]
This will be an interesting year for the Raiders. Their Owner and Figurehead Al Davis passed away last October. Davis had a philosophy called “Just win, baby” which was ingrained in his players heads. He built his Franchise around speed, speed and more speed, which has actually been a hindrance to date. Oakland has incredibly fast WR’s but they needed to be more technically...
On heels of Jahvid Best's likely PUP designation, Lions welcome back running back Mikel Leshoure.
Its preseason and it’s not time to panic yet, but the entire offensive line of the Oakland Raiders from starters to backups had a terrible game against the Dallas Cowboys. The backups in particular stunk up the place with how badly they could run block. Most importantly is the fact that this Greg Knapp offensive [...]
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lions running back Jahvid Best will likely start out the regular season on the PUP list, which means he won’t be able to be activated until after week six of the regular season.
Lions RB Jahvid Best is likely to start this season on physically unable to perform list, which would sideline him at least first six games.
