The Oakland Raiders on Friday signed free agent tight end Kevin Boss to a four-year, $16 million contract, ESPN.com reported.
Among a handful of free agency losses, the Raiders saw tight end Zach Miller sign with Seattle. Boss, who had been with the New York Giants, will be a quality replacement.
The 6-6, 250-pound Boss caught 119 passes for 1,600 yards and 18 TDs in four years with the Giants, including 35 receptions for 522 yards and five TDs last season.
Boss is also an outstanding blocker.
