Oakland Raiders safety Tyvon Branch will sign his one-year franchise tender on Monday, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports. Once signed, the $6.212 million tender will become fully guaranteed. La Canfora adds that Branch is still seeking a multi-year deal, which the two sides have until 4pm ET on July 15 to reach. Selected out of the University of Connecticut in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, Branch has started 48 straight games for the Raiders, totaling 337 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions, 15 passes defensed and three forced fumbles while between 94 and 99 percent of the Raiders' defensive snaps. Branch appeared in eight games as a rookie, playing primarily on special teams, where he had four tackles and recovered a fumble. In very limited action on defense -- around 60 snaps -- Branch had six tackles and an interception.
