GREEN BAY, Wis. After four disappointing seasons in Green Bay, Pat Lee is no longer with the Packers. The 2008 second-round pick signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders. There was no reason for Green Bay to keep Lee around any longer. He was unable to crack the top-four spots on the cornerback depth chart, sitting well below Sam Shields and Jarrett Bush for the nickel and dime defensive packages. With Shields still only 24 years old and Bush just signing a new three-year contract with the Packers this week, Lee was very expandable. This also gives the Packers more of an opportunity to look at 2011 fourth-round pick, cornerback Davon House. After knee injuries forced Lee to injured reserve his first two NFL seasons, he has primarily been a special teams player. However, his most memorable special teams effort was an embarrassing kickoff return attempt in Week 17 of this past season. With Randall Cobb resting for the playoffs, Lee was given an opportunity as the return man. As the kick sailed Lee's way, he fielded the ball, took it a few steps out of the end zone, then backed up behind the goal line and kneeled it. This, of course, resulted in a safety. Lee finished his Packers career with 21 tackles, no sacks and no interceptions. The 28-year-old will reunite with Green Bay's former director of player personnel, Reggie McKenzie, now the Raiders general manager. Follow Paul Imig on Twitter.
