Recently-signed Bucs backup center Donovan Raiola will find himself in a unique situation on Sunday.
His brother, Dominic, is the Lions’ starting center. Donovan is looking forward to their first meeting.
“I’ve always looked up to him,” Donovan said of his older brother, who is in his 10th season. “I’ve learned a lot from him. It’s going to be fun. We haven’t talked much about the game this week. We’ve just been getting tickets set up (for family) and things like that.”
Donovan credits his brother for helping him fulfill his NFL dream.
“I learned how to study from him and how to watch film and how to really understand defenses and what they’re trying to do to you,” he said. “I’ve gotten smarter at that kind of stuff.”
Donovan also followed a path nearly exactly like that of his brother, even becoming a center in large part because he followed Dominic.
