PLAYERS: Danny Amendola
TEAMS: St. Louis Rams
Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola will become an unrestricted free-agent in March without a new contract. The Rams would like to sign Amendola but are wary of a long-term deal Dan Arkush of Pro Football Weekly reports. The big issue with Amendola remains his penchant for injuries. After a separated SC joint (clavicle) and foot injury sidelined him for five games and limited him in three others, the fact he has suited up for a total of only 12 games the past two seasons is major cause for concern. “Had he stayed healthy, he probably would have had something like 100 catches and 1,100 yards — No. 1 WR-type numbers,” the insider said. “But they’re hesitant to cut a long-term deal for him.” Source: The Redzone

St. Louis Rams: If Brian Schottenheimer leaves, bet on Steven Jackson going too

When news broke that St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was being pursued by Shad Khan and the Jacksonville Jaguars to possibly fill the vacant head coach position in Florida, Rams fans had to feel deja vu. The obvious reaction to the thought of Schottenheimer leaving would be to have concern for quarterback Sam Bradford. During his career, Bradford has had...

RoundTable: What Are The Rams' Top 5 Draft Needs?

Whether the Rams draft for need or follow a strict best-player-available strategy, at the end of the day Rams fans won't be happy unless the safety position has been markedly upgraded.  In keeping with Brennan's review of the top safety prospects for the Rams in the draft, an internal poll (taken before Brennan's article published) firmly places "please, please...

The St. Louis Rams are looking for a new defensive coordinator now that Gregg Williams, who remains suspended because of his involvement in the New Orleans Saints bounty gate, likely will never wear the headset in St. Louis. NBCSports.com is reporting that the St Louis Rams have hired Rob Ryan as their new defensive coordinator. Last season the Rams were sans their defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams, because he was barred from participating in the season...

NFL Rumors: Report suggests Rob Ryan to the St. Louis Rams

The Dallas Cowboys fired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan earlier this week. Ryan told reporters that he would be unemployed for about five minutes before landing another job in the NFL. Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker are Going By The Nickname “Black and Decker”

This is the greatest WR duo nickname since the Mark Brothers in Miami (Mark Duper and Mark Clayton). I am not sure how it came about, but it is awesome beyond words. Of course someone will try to kill the joy out of it by bringing race into the equation, but this is just a solid nickname. Thomas and Decker both went over a 1000 yards this season thanks to the arrival of Payton Manning...
