When your team is doing well and things are on the upswing, it’s a good time to poke a little fun at yourself. Enjoy!
The Saint Louis Rams front office stated in a press conference today that none of their starting linebackers would be able to play in this Friday’s game against the Chiefs. Fortunately, that’s never prevented them from taking the field before.
- If you watched the Rams defense in the first half of last week’s Titans game you’d have to agree with this one.
Why weren’t the Rams coaches upset that their playbook was stolen? No one got to finish coloring it in.
- This joke has to be from the Mike Martz era.
What’s the difference between the St. Louis Rams and a dollar bill? You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill
- Unfortunately, there was some truth to this statement in 2010. The Rams were not good on third downs and in the 2nd half of a lot of games. With a year’s worth of building and experience hopefully they (and Sam Bradford) will be better this year.
The St. Louis Rams have bought a $15,000 anti-odor, anti-bacteria machine for their equipment. And yet, they still stink.
- Not true. We have not stunk since 2009 (and that was soooo long ago). Last year we went 7-9 which is not tremendous, but it certainly doesn’t stink. This year with some hard play and a little luck we have a serious shot at winning the division.
What do the St. Louis Rams and possums have in common? Both play dead at home and get killed on the road.
- Last year we were 5-3 at home and 2-6 on the road. So we do not play dead at home. And 4 of the 6 road games we lost on the road were extremely close. Of course in the other 2 (Detroit and New Orleans) we got killed.
And Finally…
What is the difference between the St Louis Rams and the Taliban? At least the Taliban has a running game.
- I’m not sure where this joke came from because through thick or thin the Rams have been feeding the NFL a steady diet of running. In 1999 Marshall Faulk became the Rams starting running back and through the end of the 2004 season Marshall rushed on average for more than 1,000 yards per year. He also accumulated 4 Pro Bowl & 3 First-Team All-Pro selections. In 2005 Steven Jackson took the reins and has also averaged over 1,000 rushing yards per year. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl 3 times.
