Coach Jeff Fisher is well on his way in turning around the St. Louis Rams and many experts are seeing the same thing. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is inn his second year and gives quarterback Sam Bradford some stability and a familiar offense to work with. The front office signed free agent tight end Jared Cook and drafted the explosive Tavon Austin in an attempt to add weapons to a once bare cupboard. On defense starting defensive ends Chris Long and Robert Quinn each racked up double-digit sacks to lead the group. Along with fiery cornerback Cortland Finnegan, the attitude is just right for the NFC West that boasts two of the best teams in the NFL in San Francisco and Seattle. According to Curtis Crabtree of Profootballtalk.com, the Rams are knocking on the door, but can they kick it in? Crabtree writes: ‘The St. Louis Rams were actually the most successful team within the NFC West last season. The Rams went 4-1-1 in six games against the rest of the division. Their only loss came in Week 17 to the Seattle Seahawks. It was the rest of the league that St. Louis struggled against. They were just 3-7 outside of the division as they finished with a 7-8-1 record.’ PFT power ranking 17
