For St. Louis Rams and Baltimore Ravens QB Marc Bulger has announced that he has retired from the NFL. Bulger backed up Joe Flacco last season for the Ravens and was a free agent this season. The 34-year old veteran most likely could have found work this season, but he made the decision instead to retire.
Bulger told ESPN, “I am grateful to all my former teammates, coaches and my family. I have a special place in my heart for coach Martz for giving me an opportunity. Moving forward, I’m excited to continue doing work through my foundation to help the men and women in uniform who risk their lives everyday so we can enjoy the game of football”.
Bulger was rumored to be drawing some interest from a few clubs this season looking for quarterback help, namely the Arizona Cardinals.
