PLAYERS: Scott Wells
TEAMS: St. Louis Rams
As a former longtime rock in the middle of the Packers' offensive line and Pro Bowl selection in 2011, Scott Wells has experienced the highs that go along with playing in the NFL. However, Wells, now the Rams' center, also dealt with his share of lows, too. Primarily, off the field with his wife Julie. Rams making progress, despite record

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Rams may only win four or five games this year, finish near the bottom of the NFC standings and get another top-10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Sounds like a bad year, right? Not at all. For a team that won two games last year and just 15 games the previous five seasons, the Rams have shown significant progress under first-year coach Jeff Fisher, whether...

Wells' return may strengthen Rams' line elsewhere

Center Scott Wells' return after breaking his foot in the season opener figures to strengthen the St. Louis Rams' offensive line at two spots. Robert Turner has been consistent as the stand-in starter for nine games and could start at left guard this week at Arizona. He's been a take-charge guy from the start, carrying his blocks downfield and usually showing up first...

Rams' turnover slump at 5 games

ST. LOUIS (AP) An errant pass bounced off hands of the New York Jets' Joe McKnight on the sideline, tantalizingly soaring just out of the reach of St. Louis Rams safety Quintin Mikell and an easy touchdown return.
