Courtesy: St. Louis Rams Media Relations ST. LOUIS, Mo. The St. Louis Rams have signed free agent WR Steve Smith, the team announced Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Smith enters his sixth NFL season in 2012. He spent last season with the Philadelphia Eagles after four years with the New York Giants. He caught 11 passes in nine games last season before a knee injury cut his 2011 campaign short. In 2009, Smith led the NFL with 107 receptions, which set a new Giants record. He also finished third in the league in receiving yards (1,220) and earned an invitation to the Pro Bowl. As a rookie, Smith played a key role in New Yorks win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII as he caught five passes for 50 yards. Smiths career totals include 231 catches for 2,510 yards and 12 touchdowns. He entered the NFL as a second-round draft pick by the Giants in 2007. A native of Woodland Hills, Calif., Smith was a standout at the University of Southern California prior to joining the Giants. He ranks fourth in Trojans history in receiving yards (3,019) and fifth in catches (190). Also, the Rams have signed exclusive rights free agent FB Brit Miller as well as unrestricted free agent TE Matthew Mulligan and OL Quinn Ojinnaka. Miller enters his third season with the Rams in 2012. He played in 12 games last season and recorded nine special teams tackles. Mulligan spent the previous three seasons with the New York Jets. He started nine games and appeared in all 16 last season. Ojinnaka spent training camp with the Rams last offseason and then signed with the Indianapolis Colts, where he started three games and appeared in nine.
