The St. Louis Rams have a visit scheduled with New York Jets free agent tight end Matthew Mulligan, according to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star Ledger. After spending big to sign marquee free agents like Cortland Finnegan and Scott Wells, the Rams will now turn their attention to finding the role players needed to round out their roster. Mulligan is a blocking tight end. He would replace Billy Bajema who is an unrestricted free agent this year. Mulligan also has a visit set up with the San Francisco 49ers, who just beat the Rams in the pursuit of free agent wide receiver Mario Manningham.

Jets' CB says he'd change positions

After the Jets failed to sign Reggie Nelson, Antonio Cromartie tweeted that he'd be willing to change positions if it would help the team.

New York Jets Moving To Next Tier Of Free Agents

It is fair to be disappointed about Reggie Nelson clearly using the New York Jets to jack up the price on the Cincinnati Bengals, who he chose to re-sign with. Nelson is a rangy, athletic player who would have been an immediate upgrade at free safety. However, Nelson is a good…not great player and thus not worth despairing over for too long. It is certainly too early to feel...

The St. Louis Rams signed defensive end Kendall Langford to a four-year contract worth $24 million on Saturday. Langford's deal includes $12 million guaranteed, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported. Don’t Panic Jets Fans, NFL Draft Is Deep At Safety

With the Jets getting spurned by Reggie Nelson after hosting the free agent safety for a weekend long visit, it seems as though LaRon Landry is the only viable option left. But if Landry happens to politely decline an offer from the Jets as well, Mike Tannenbaum and Co. will most likely need to address this need via the draft. Many “experts” view this year’s crop of safeties...

LaRon Landry Joins Jets

Strong safety LaRon Landry has agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Jets believed to be worth $4M, according to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network. Fantasy Spin: Landry hits like a Mack Truck and could fit in well in New Yorks hard-nosed defense, but was only able to secure a one-year deal with concerns regarding the stability of his troublesome Achilles. So he will have...

Finnegan is Fisher's kind of player

It was no surprise that within hours of the start of the league year, the Rams had reached agreement with free-agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan, who entered the NFL in 2006 with the Tennessee Titans when Jeff Fisher was their head coach. Finnegan was wearing a Rams cap on his Facebook page when he said, "I look forward to being all about Ram Nation. I'm headed back to...

Jets Football: Focus On The Future, Not The Past

Hello my fellow Jets fans - I am not going to focus on news we already know and are kind of sick of hearing.  I will state my opinion real quick.  Mark Sanchez has received a contract extension.  This is proof that the Jets organization has faith in Mark and believes he is their guy that will lead them to a long overdue Super Bowl win.  Great. Now that he has concrete details...
