Former Green Bay Packers LB Brady Poppinga is on his way to St. Louis for a visit with the Rams on Sunday, according to a league source. The Rams have been shrewd in the free-agent market thus far, agreeing to terms with veterans DT Justin Bannan, S Quintin Mikell (formerly of the Eagles), WR Mike Sims-Walker (Jaguars) and G Harvey Dahl (Falcons), and now will give a look to Poppinga, who missed 10 games last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Poppinga, due $2.34 million next season as a backup, was released by the Packers on Thursday.
