Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb told the Green Bay Press-Gazette that he’s ready to step up now that Greg Jennings and Donald Driver are no long around. “I think definitely with Donald retiring and Greg leaving, it’s definitely going to be a lot more weight on me, James and Jordy’s shoulders,” Cobb said. “But we’re taking on the challenge head-on. We’ve been really excited to get back and work. We’ve got some young guys, some drafted guys that’s coming in. We’re excited to get back to work and see how it’s going to turn out this year.” Cobb says he still has a lot of room to grow as a player. “I really don’t think I’ve peaked yet,” Cobb said. “I’m 22 years old. I’ve got a lot of learning still to do. I have a long way to go and I just hope I continue to get better over the next years.” Cobb is a dynamic player that can give opposing defenses nightmares. I think he’ll only get better as time goes on. Need NFL Tickets? The post Randall Cobb ready to step

Green Bay Packers running back Alex Green thought it was a good idea for them to beef up the running back position in this year’s draft.
“Last year, I didn’t do anything too good in the running game, so I think it was a great thing for us to get back out there, make a step in the draft and help the team win football games,” said Green, per the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel....
First Round: Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
ANALYSIS: I've been mocking this pick to them for a while, and I really love the fit. He fills Green Bay's biggest need of a pass rushing DE (in the 3-4), he provides good value, and I think he will excel in Green Bay. Not to mention he will also take tons of pressure of Matthews and Perry coming from the OLB position. It was a tossup...
Greg Jennings is in Minnesota. Donald Driver is now retired, and the Green Bay Packers need someone to step up to be the number one receiver.
Randall Cobb has been a pleasant surprise since coming onto the scene as a 2nd round (64th overall) pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
He is extremely versatile. He can play as a returner and a wide receiver, and those skills will help the Packers...

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It's been a busy and productive year for Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy and the rest of the team's executives.
Setting the franchise's all-time record for profit in 2012 of 43 million -- in addition to 64 million raised in the recent stock sale -- has allowed Murphy and the Packers to be able to accomplish all of their goals. The most important...
GREEN BAY, Wis. Five of the players who were in Green Bay on a tryout basis during Packers rookie minicamp have now been signed by the team.
Fullback Jonathan Amosa (Washington), linebackers Donte Savage (New Mexico State) and Jarvis Wilson (Prairie View A&M), wide receiver Tyrone Walker (Illinois State) and 26-year-old cornerback Brandon Smith, who began in the NFL in 2011...
It was reported yesterday that Green Bay Packers free agent Charles Woodson is set to visit with the Denver Broncos in the near future. If
talks with the Broncos fall through, Woodson could eventually land with his
former team. Josina Anderson of ESPN is reporting that Woodson has an initial
offer from the Oakland Raiders.
Charles Woodson's agent Carl Poston also told me the...
Ball-security is paramount for the Packers, and Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin should fit that mold. Both had fumbling problems early in their career but alleviated those issues due to focus and hard work.
Green Bay Packers free agent Charles Woodson recently expressed surprise that he remains unsigned. He may not be on the open market much longer, as he's expected to visit with the Denver Broncos in the near future, according to Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 in Denver.
Woodson expected to visit the Broncos soon, possibly this week.

Vic Lombardi of CBS4 reports that the Broncos will bring in free agent DB Charles Woodson for a visit at some point this week.
Lombardi expects the Broncos to use Woodson in a dual role safety-cornerback role, assuming that they sign him of course.
Woodson, 36, recently mentioned that he’s willing to play for anyone next season after finding almost no interest on the free...
Much like Brian Urlacher the market for former Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson has been exceptionally cold. Since his visit with the San Francisco 49ers in March there hasn’t been any mentions of him, anywhere. That changed today in a big way with multiple teams showing interest. They include the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and the Carolina Panthers.
The Packers face some interesting history when they take on the Cowboys & Steelers in 2013
When the Green Bay Packers 2013 schedule was announced, one thing was very clear: it’s going to be a doozy of a season for the Packers. They have one of the toughest schedules in the league and it will certainly challenge them to repeat as NFC North division winners.
I thought we’d...
