He goes by the name of Tshimanga Biakabutuka, but conformists call him Tim. Tim is from Kinshasa, Republic of Zaire, which is now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1997.  Biakabutuka left his native land and moved to Montreal, Canada. While playing football throughout high school and CEGEP, the monster tailback earned the nickname “Touchdown Tim”, but nobody knows why.  Once word got out about Tshimanga the University of Michigan locked him up for their backfield. Larry E. Wright, The Ann Arbor News As a freshman in 1993, Biakabutuka took advantage of his 43 carries for 209 yards and five touchdowns. The next season Tim took a larger role with 126 carries for 783 yards (career-high 6.2 YPC) and seven touchdowns. As a junior, Tshimanga made history setting a school record for the most rushing yards in a season.  The halfback had 303 carries for 1,818 yards and 12 touchdowns, including a huge game against sworn enemy Ohio State going off for 313 rushing yards. Obviously when that happens you instantly become a Wolverine legend, and enter the NFL Draft. In the 1996 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers selected the 6-0 215 pound RB Tim Biakabutuka with the 8th overall pick. Unfortunately for the Panthers this wasn’t the optimal pick. The next RB selected was Eddie George, and looking back I’m sure the Panthers regret passing up on Ray Lewis and many others. Despite having a very cool name, Tim was very injury prone and consistently got hurt throughout his career.  As a rookie, Biakabutuka only played in four games and ran for 229 yards. Over the next two seasons, the Panther was sidelined from injuries and only gained 864 yards and six total touchdowns. In 1999 Biakabutuka had his best NFL season with 718 rushing yards and six touchdowns in just 11 games. Tim had one solid year left in him with 968 total yards (627 rushing, 341 receiving yards) and four total touchdowns, which once again only came in 11 games. The next season in 2001, he only played in five games, which unfortunately happened to be his last.  Biakabutuka finished his career with 2,530 rushing yards and 17 total touchdowns in 50 total games. After football “Touchdown Tim” moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina.  And despite having a failed Nathan’s Hot Dog franchise, he currently owns two Bojangles restaurants in Augusta, Georgia. -Schotz
