Many of the NFL undrafted free agents signings were very kind to Purdue. Brandon King ended up with the Colts. Joey Elliott signed with the Eagles. Several other players signed contracts after missing out on the draft and will be battling for a roster spot once training camps begin. Personally, I like Elliott's chances to make a difference. I think he will land somewhere on a roster as a solid #3 guy.
Stepping over to baseball for a moment. Former Boiler Josh Lindblom has a solid baseball whip at Triple-A Albequerque this year. He stands an excellent chance of being moved up tot he Dodgers before the season is done.
I don't know what this will do to improve the Dodgers' Odds to win the World Series, but it can certainly help. Lindblom projects as an extra starter, so he might figuring into the National League West race by the end of the year as LA tried to catch San Diego.
