If the whole bounty scandal was not enough dysfunction for the New Orleans Saints it appears like they might be inviting a little more to come to town.
It appears that the Saints have more than just a passing interest in veteran wide receiver Randy Moss, and they have scheduled a workout with him on Tuesday.
Rumors had floated around the league last September that the Saints had Moss in town, but the club denied the allegation. However, now that the team is facing the possibility of losing both Marques Colston and Robert Meachem to free agency Moss could be of value.
In 13 seasons Moss has caught 153 touchdown passes while playing for four different teams. He retired last season, but came out of retirement on his 35th birthday, February 13. If he is able to run a 4.3 40-yard dash like he claims he could very well find himself on the receiving end of a number of Drew Bree’s bombs in 2012.
Moss impresses Saints in workout
The wide receiver reportedly looked "like the old Moss" during his workout in front of Saints personnel, clocking in at about 4.39-4.40 seconds during a 40-yard dash.
