Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall is back active on Twitter again, and following the 26-23 Thursday night loss to the Tennessee Titans, the running back chastised some angry fans on the social media platform. Mendenhall tweeted on Friday, "Seriously, if you're gonna talk trash about your team and everyone on it, don't call yourself a fan. A fan is a supporter..." https://twitter.com/R_Mendenhall/status/256622937547870208 Well, that tweet certainly won't help things out and Mendenhall of all people should know that by now. • Mendenhall and the rest of the under-performing Steelers need to stop tweeting and get on with playing some football - which is what they are being paid to do. Steelers fans are very frustrated. This particular Steelers Team is exceptionally painful to watch. In other words - they have super SUCKED so far. I place the blame directly on Tomlin because he hasn't had this team ready to perform. They seem to be constantly hurt for 2 reasons: 1) Lack of conditioning 2) 80% of the time, they are absorbing the blows versus delivering the blows. There are vast problems with all 3 phases of the game. In my mind that can only point to one group of people = TOMLIN & his coaching staff. Look, Tomlin was a winner with the Cower regime selections. Now he's has to live with the players that he selected & groomed and it isn't going so well. There is one hell of a lot more to being a successful coach in the NFL than what you do on game day. Game day is simply the symptom of how well you did your job through the week, through camp and on draft day. And frankly, it's not looking too good for Tomlin. The problems are far too wide spread (offense, defense & special teams) for this to be a player problem. The Steelers lackluster performance can only be a coaching (TOMLIN) problem. And, that's where the heat should be applied. By the way, I HAVE ENOUGH RESPECT FOR TOMLIN THAT I THINK HE WOULD AGREE.
