The Baltimore Ravens have signed defensive tackle Ryan McBean, who will sit out the first six games of the season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. Denver withdrew his $1.272 million restricted free agent tender following his suspension, making McBean a free agent. The former Denver Bronco was added for depth along the defensive line and signed a one-year contract. The Ravens lost defensive end Cory Redding and defensive tackle Brandon McKinney during free agency to the Indianapolis Colts. Over the past week, the Ravens have signed McBean and another veteran defensive tackle, Ma'ake Kemoeatu. McBean had 19 tackles and four sacks last season for the Broncos. Cornerback Cary Williams has signed his $1.927 million second-round restricted tender.

Ryan McBean in 2011 (Peter Aiken/Getty Images) The Denver Broncos appear set to approach 2012 with an entirely new set of defensive tackles from a year ago. 2011 starter Brodrick Bunkley is gone. 2011 starter Marcus Thomas remains unsigned and is now jersey-less. And today, one of the Broncos’ bigger rotation DT’s signed elsewhere for 2012 — even if only for ten games. Ryan...

The Baltimore Ravens have signed nose tackle Ryan McBean, adding depth to their defensive line. McBean, 28, had 33 tackles and four sacks in 2011 for the Broncos. He had been a restricted free agent, but the Broncos rescinded the offer on April 16, making him an unrestricted free agent. The Denver Broncos drafted a quarterback, so you knew an in depth story on Brock Osweiler was coming. [Denver Post] The woman who was not raped by Perrish Cox as filed a civil suit against him and Demaryius Thomas.  History shows she is more likely to receive damages than a conviction, but I’m not sure how Demaryius Thomas fits into all of this – other than he has more disposable...

Broncos may end up dumping Knowshon Moreno

Bill Williamson of ESPN.com believes there’s a good chance that the Denver Broncos could end up moving on from running back Knowshon Moreno after an utterly disappointing career so far. This past season Moreno tore his ACL, which is clearly not good for any NFL player, nevermind a running back.  He’s also had some off the field problems that have led to him being arrested. When...

Derek Wolfe not listed as a DT on team’s roster

(AP Photo/Ed Andrieski) The Denver Broncos may not use Derek Wolfe — who was selected 36th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft — solely as a defensive tackle this season.  A rotational role for Wolfe appears to be more likely. On Monday, Stuart Zaas mentioned Wolfe as a defensive end on the team’s official website and Wolfe is listed as a defensive lineman on the team’s official...

The Denver Broncos have fired GM Brian Xanders. Fantasy Spin: Xanders held the GM position in Denver since 2009, and will not be around to see the AFC West club defend their division title with prized offseason acquisition Peyton Manning under center. Denver Broncos’ rushing attack will go from first to worst under Manning

Let’s face it. Low rushing totals are a byproduct of the pass-friendly league that is now the NFL. Teams pass so much now that it seems like they sometimes forget to run the ball. This is especially true of teams that have a signal-caller the quality of a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or a Drew Brees. Manning who usually called his own plays as quarterback of the Indianapolis...
