According to The Carroll County Times, the Ravens have agreed to terms with offensive tackle Mark LeVoir.
Aaron Wilson reports that LeVoir, 29, tried out for the Ravens on Saturday along with former Tennessee Titans lineman Jason Murphy.
LeVoir started two games over three seasons for the New England Patriots. The 6-foot-7, 310-pounder was released by the Patriots after refusing to take a paycut.
The five-year veteran joins a group that includes Michael Oher, rookie Jah Reid and Ramon Harewood.
I would expect that LeVoir would compete with Jah Reid at the Right Tackle spot. This was basically an insurance move. LeVoir was signed by the Bears as an undrafted Free agent in 2006 and then spent time with the St. Louis Rams before the New England Patriots picked him up in 2008. He had signed a contract extension with them in 2011 but was hampered by a shoulder injury and relegated to reserve status. He was released a few days ago.
