Ravens' D-line strong and deep

For those who always like to make comparisons with the Ravens' Super Bowl team of 2000, the 2009 team has as much depth on the defensive line as that team. Back then, the Ravens had a good front four with ends Michael McCrary, Rob Burnett and huge defensive tackles Tony Siragusa and Sam Adams. The top reserve at end was Keith Washington, and Larry Webster and Lional Dalton were the backup tackles. This year's group has more depth. Kelly Gregg and Haloti Ngata are the starting tackles, but the Ravens also have Justin Bannan, Dwan Edwards and Brandon McKinney as backup tackles. Trevor Pryce starts at defensive end, but Edwards can back him up as can second-round pick Paul Kruger. In a pinch, Terrell Suggs could turn in a complete game at end. If there is one position where you need great depth, it's on the defensive line. According to New England coach Bill Belichick, you can never have enough defensive linemen. And oh, by the way, Kruger has had a strong training camp.
