Manish Mehta of the Daily News is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens have claimed former Jets safety Emanuel Cook, who was cut by the team yesterday.
I guess this is giving us a taste of our own medicine. When Rex became head coach, he brought along Mike Pettine and Dennis Thurman, who were previously on the Ravens coaching staff. Furthermore, Rex has made it a habit of signing former Ravens players such as Bart Scott, Jim Leonhard, Trevor Pryce and Derrick Mason.
In any case, Cook is in an ideal situation, learning from Ed Reed, arguably the best safety in NFL history. I wish Emanuel nothing but the best, as he embarks on the next chapter of his NFL career.

Rob Ryan as a head coach? Players soundoff
IRVING -- Since Jack Del Rio was fired as head coach of the Jaguars on Tuesday, there has been speculation that Rob Ryan could be a head coaching candidate in Jacksonville.
There is no evidence stating there's interest from the Jaguars, but hiring Ryan wouldn't be a huge surprise.

DeVito Doubtful Against Redskins
With the Jets taking on rookie phenom Roy Helu and the Washington Redskins, the team is going to need all the help they can get to stop the running game. The bad news though is that the team looks to be without Mike DeVito, yet again, after an injury setback Sunday that has kept him from playing much of the past month.

New York Jets WR Plaxico Burress, 11.27
On his third down catch on the final offensive drive…
It was an all-out blitz by Buffalo. He (Mark Sanchez) just looked at me and gave me the signal. I didn’t think Sanchez was going to throw it.

Jim Leonhard 'disappointed' in Jets fans for booing Mark Sanchez in pre-game introductions on Sunday

On the third down catch that Plaxico Burress made…
I don’t know if words do it justice. It was a big time catch in a crucial situation and it really gave us a chance to take the lead there and either have a gimme field goal or go for the lead like we ended up doing. So if that doesn’t happen we have a real long field goal ahead of us, and he just made it a lot easier on our...

Don’t Judge Stevie Johnson’s Touchdown Dance
Stevie Johnson‘s touchdown celebration was in poor taste. But so what? Most player celebrations are in poor taste. After scoring a touchdown against the Jets yesterday Johnson celebrated by mimicking Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the thigh and mocking Santonio Holmes‘ Jet celebration (he crashed his Jet). I’ve never been a fan of touchdown dances [...]
