The regular NFL officials returned to work Thursday night, and the fans gave them a warm welcome back before bestowing their loudest cheers upon the Baltimore Ravens, who never trailed in a 23-16 victory over the winless Cleveland Browns. Joe Flacco went 28 for 46 for 356 yards, threw one touchdown and ran for another. Cary Williams returned an interception 63 yards for a score near the end of the third quarter to give the Ravens (3-1) a 13-point lead. And still, the game wasn't decided until a pass by Cleveland rookie Brandon Weeden sailed out of the end zone as time expired. The kept the Browns (0-4) the only winless team in the AFC. Unlike the controversial ending of the Green Bay-Seattle game on Monday night, which heightened negotiations to get the regular refs back, this game ended without an argument.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens Week 4 NFL Preview: Thursday Night Football

Joe Flacco shut up some of the naysayers (myself included) after he was able to put together a virtuoso performance in their 31-30 victory over the New England Patriots. Throwing for 382 yards and 3 TD is a primetime performance against the other quarterback who was named Tom Brady. Ray Rice was effective as usual rushing for 101 yards on 20 carries, but he also hauled in 5 passes...

Fantasy Football News: Frustrations with Baltimore Ravens play calling continue

How long will it take the Ravens to learn your best player should get the ball more than 25 times a game I don’t know why week after week, I keep expecting something to change with the Baltimore Ravens play-calling. It might be I have too much faith that Cam Cameron will gain some sense, or maybe it is my fantasy football side doing the complaining. In the end, the Ravens just...

Williams' interception helps Ravens hold off Browns

BALTIMORE -- Baltimore Ravens cornerback Cary Williams took a gamble. He recognized the formation the Cleveland Browns were in on third-and-5 from the Baltimore 43-yard line with just over 20 seconds remaining in the third quarter. When he saw Browns receiver Travis Benjamin go in motion, he had a feeling what would happen next. He didn't know for sure, but it was a risk...

BALTIMORE - Ravens cornerback Cary Williams took his first career interception 63 yards for a touchdown, which helped catapult his team to a 23-16 win over Cleveland Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium. But it wasn't over until a pass by Cleveland's Brandon Weeden from the Ravens' 18-yard fell incomplete on the game's final play. Williams' key play came...

Thursday Night Football: Breaking Down The Props, Browns at Ravens

Tonight had such great potential, what with replacement refs and the Cleveland Browns on the field at the same time. But, no, the NFL and the real refs just had to settle their squabbles in time for tonight. After three weeks of chaotic deliberations of the rule book, the real refs will take the field. I feel a bit robbed. I was looking forward to a team being granted four timeouts...

Browns hang around to make it close----but Ravens hold on, 23-16...

You have got to give the Cleveland Browns credit...they made it close and took it down to the final seconds of the game... And this was Brandon Weeden's best game so far as a rookie quarterback in the NFL, despite incessant pressure from the Ravens' pass rush...But in the end, the Ravens wore down the 0-4 Browns, winning by the margin of a Cary Williams interception pick...

Prediction Wednesday: Ravens should move to 3-0 at home

The Ravens will be playing their fourth game in 17 days, and third primetime game in their first four Thursday night when they take on the division rival Browns. Cleveland is winless and has a rookie quarterback and running back combination in the backfield. The winless part won’t change for Cleveland because the Ravens’ defense will harass Brandon Weeden into mistakes. Weeden...

What We Learned From Last Night’s Ravens/Browns Game

The real refs are much better Great to see a smooth game played. The product may not have been the best, but at least the refs didn’t add an additional hour and half to the game with constant meetings, reviews and overall ***********. Welcome back, refs. Here’s to hoping Ed Hochuli kept in shape over the lockout. There was noticeably less Cee Lo last night Our prayers were all...
